Giving five stars because it’s a peaceful cafe with good coffee (I got their cold brew) and even some good food options, which I haven’t tried yet but will next time I am here. This area of McLean badly needed another coffee cafe type of place (because there aren’t many at all, I think there was just starnut), and we got one!
This local cafe is home away from home. The owner and staff always greet me with a warm smile and caring conversation. The vanilla rose latte and lentil lemon soup are delicious, but the bisconces (homemade scones-biscuits) are DIVINE. You have been warned. I am so grateful for this gem and hope to enjoy it for many, many years to come.
The food and drinks were all tasty. The best part was the very friendly and kind staff whom were all so incredibly helpful and accommodating to me and my baby. As a mom you often feel you wish you had extra hands and here I had several which made getting out of the house with a little not just easier but actually really fun. Will be back for sure. In my view this is the best middle eastern restaurant in the Arlington-McLean area. It has the best mix of sophistication and home cooking. Kind of what you'd get if your grandma would cook if was a sophisticated, hip modern person but with a deep tradition behind her. I think everything is fantastic. Try the zaatar grilled cheese, the turkish coffee, the lentil soup, everything.
