Disappointment – We love good Italian food. Cafe Italia looked like a well kept local secret. Intimate outdoor seating on a warm desert evening beckoned us to the rather secluded restaurant. My husband chose a steak which the waitress described as a chef special for that evening. I chose one of two Gnocchi dinners on the menu. Both choices were flavorless disappointments. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT – Oh my gosh. This place should stick to bread and soup. The pasta dishes were so bad. I mean bad. The alfredo sauce was like milk. Poor taste too boot. Sent it back; asked for Bolognese. No better as the meat was old; tainted taste at best. Avoid at all costs. Too expensive speaking of cost. Go to Marios in Indio.
