Rocco was awesome and the food was delicious. 5 stars!!
Eating Italian at the beach seems so against the norm, but this place exceeds expectations in every way. Having eaten here many times before actually going to Italy, I couldn’t wait to get to Italy. Happy to report many dishes here are as good, if not better, than in Tuscany. The wine list is top notch, the atmosphere is really nice, yet I don’t feel I can’t go in with fresh beach hair and a nice outfit.
We enjoyed an amazing meal and truly spectacular service from Ricco. Our group of 10 shared several dishes and each of them was done perfectly. So delicious! It was our favorite restaurant from the many we visited on our vacation on Siesta Key.

Cafe Gabbiano has wonderful staff and ambiance. The team is friendly, attentive, and the space is very clean with great attention to detail. The chicken parm is excellent and the warm bread is served to perfection. The vodka sauce is mid and nothing special. Prices are fair and the cannolis are the perfect way to end the meal, generously filled and sweet.
