Service is exceptional, food is really good and consistent – The service, esp. from Sabon, is about as good as you will find. The menu has a lot of good choices and the food is very consistent.
Good food, mediocre service – the food here is really good, the restaurant is small & very close-knit, but it makes it sort of romantic. sometimes there can be a wait, but mostly on the weekends. The wine here is also very good...it's the staff who could use a little umph. None of the staff have ever been OVERLY friendly or enthused. They're not rude, just indifferent. Good food, service could have a little something extra.
Classic Italian Cooking The food is good and it's so close to home, I can walk. I've been here twice and each time the food and service were good. We've had simple angel hair pasta with chopped fresh tomatoes to fettuccine with pesto sauce to seafood risotto to vegetarian ravioli. It's all good and the service is friendly. FYI, the pesto is good but on the heavy side but that's my quirk. When I use it at home, I tend to use a lot less.
Wonderful!! – My husband and I happened upon this place and what a wonderful surprise we had!! We walked in on a Friday night at 7 pm and only had to wait a few minutes but it is a small place so if you can make a reservation I would. The food was wonderful and the staff very prompt...we will be returning on our next visit to the San Francisco area.
