Good Mexican! This is your typical tex mex style restaurant but for the price and the amount of food you get it is pretty good. This was always the place I took my friends and family who visited from out of town because it was definitely one of the better restaurants in Pittsburg!
Alright. Cafe Del Rio otherwise known as Cafe diarrhea by my husband...is alright mexican food. It might be the best mexican you'll get in this town though. That's not saying much. PROS: Average wait time CONS: Not as clean as it should be.
Great Service food needs help The wait staff is very friendly and are good at what they do. The place is clean and the prices are great. The food on the other hand is no bueno! Everything tasted like it was from a mix. So salty in fact I could not finish it. I had fried ice cream for dessert and there was actual fry oil in the bottom of my bowl mixing with the whipped cream. Totally turned my stomach. The queso was very good but overall the food was not worth my time or money.
just got back from cafe Del Rio and the food was great but service lacked. our waitress was snotty and rude. sat things right in front of the 2 year old seeing that she grabs up everything. one of the things that was sat right beside the little ones arm was a sizzling hot pan. if I wasnt watching as she went to grab the hot pan it could have ended badly.
Very very disappointed this evening twice now I have been given the wrong order just to have the waitress to tell me we will take it off the bill I said thanks just remake it and put it in a togo box for me bc by the time I get it Mike will be done eating she went over talked to someone came back and said we can take your cheese dip off but not your meal I'm like just forget it then this was the worst service I've ever had and this has happened twice over the last month and I've never ever had a waitress tell me anything it ... read more
since they have reopened i don't care what you get its cold. then your waitress proceeds to tell you the lettuce makes it cold. The hamburger in my chimi was go cold the grease stuck to the roof of my mouth. I was a faithful customer, before but not so sure now
Absolutely the worst food for Tex mex I have ever ate. Smelt like puke and tasted the same. Spent 12.00 And threw it away
RecommendedMy wife and i went out and we had fantastic food and we had the best experience because our waiter Shane was absolutely fantastic! Shane gave us the best waiter experience we’ve had jn a long time!

server wasn't very friendly at all, food was rubbery and cold. waited almost 45 minutes for our food which we ordered a chimi, sandwich and kids mac and cheese. our cheese dip was so thick it was like it had been sitting out for a bit. I used to love this place but I won't spend my money there again.
