Every time I come here, I feel like I’m visiting family. The staff is so kind, welcoming, and genuine—it’s like walking into a room full of good friends who are happy to see you. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home, and the food is just as amazing. Delicious, comforting, and made with love. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience I look forward to every time.
The cafe redfish and shrimp were amazingly good.
This is one of the most under rated spots in BR. Definitely in the top 20!! The sweet potato hush puppies don't miss! I tried the fried egg plants w/ crabmeat and crawfish, it was on point. My wife loved her salmon platter as well!
I was hesitant to give 5 stars because i want to be honest about my experience while also keeping it all a secret! I haven't been to Cafe Americain since I was a child on Jones Creek. I remember it well but never made it back until this past Tuesday (Mardi Gras). My mom hasn't been in about 19 years herself. Absolutely delicious, and the sweet potato hush puppies are to die for! On top of this, the waitress was an absolute delight. Highly recommend and will most certainly be back.
