Great Wine & Tapas Cafe Alma is a gathering place fashioned to the European cafe, a welcoming spot celebrating life, community, culture, art, and intellect. Open from lunch to late night, the atmosphere sets the mood for the stimulating yet charmingly straight forward International dishes. The downtown location is ideal for enjoying coffee in the afternoon or savoring ones favorite wine as the sun sets. When night falls, the lights are dimmed and the energy is turned up. Cafe Alma provides the perfect night spot for urban la... read more

Sunset Menu... here I come! – There aren't too many places anywhere that will allow you to get away with salad, dinner, dessert and a glass of sangria for $15. Yeah, thats how I came to find Cafe Alma and their sunset menu that offers a selection of entrees to choose from that include a salad (tossed or ceaser) an entree, dessert and a glass of sangria. Naturally you have to get there between certain hours (5pm- 6:30pm) but if you are just leaving the daily grind in downtown St. Pete and you are looking for a great dinner, t... read more
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Trendy downtown St. Petersburg restaurant offers eclectic Mediterranean fare, a full bar and live entertainment.
Go when the adults go. – I go frequently to Cafe Alma and have never found it to be filled with the trendy Eurotrash and fake breasts crowd. I only go before 8 on a weeknight. Crowd is dignified casual, food excellent (fresh ingredients interestingly prepared), noise level low enough that you can converse easily.
An Excellent Choice – The Ahi Tuna on mixed greens ... I just keep coming back. A cafe that definitely should not be missed while in St. Petersburg.
Average – The visual setting is the best thing about Alma. The scene is yuppie/ Euro trash wannabe, meaning the woman at the table next might have a chanel purse put chances are it is as fake as her breasts. The food is average at best put the presentation is nice. The service is mainly trendy scenster kiddies with a unapproving glare, and the music is annoying at best. The only real positive is the late night kitchen, it is a tolerable place to sit down with a starter and have a conversation, but don't expect to meet intell... read more
Best Little Restaurant in Tampa – Cafe Alma, somewhat hidden in downtown Tampa, is the best restaurant we visited on a recent trip. In fact, we went there twice in one weekend. The Saturday brunch should not be missed! Excellent food, exceptional desserts.
Nice evening out – My wife and I had wonderful casual meal. Service was prompt. Food was well flavored and hot. My wife enjoyed having several vegitarian options and I had seafood. We will try to get back for brunch.
Worst Service Ever – Service sucks...worst in the area by far. Food is great, but there a gazillion places to eat with good food. Nobody values service anymore. I will never eat here again. I have had terrible service on multiple occasions- never again.
Cafe Alma has a 4.6 star rating with 60 reviews.
Cafe Alma is open now. It will close tomorrow at 3:00 a.m.
