A gem! Exceptional food, calm service, and a warm interior.
We had a wonderful lunch at Cafe Aion. We shared tapas (small plates) as well as a couple entrees so everyone got to enjoy a variety of flavors. Everything was delicious; the scallops on squid ink rice was the table favorite. The staff is friendly and our main server (maybe the manager?) was clearly passionate about the offerings.
We had a wonderful time, great host, server, bartender. I think we were the first to arrive, thinking we were going to have brunch, but we liked the server so we stayed. Ended up ordering the house paella. So frieking good, we use to live in basque country of Boise Idaho, so I think I'm qualified.
Really weird. They sat us a little after 8, served us drinks and appetizers & didn’t come back, all without telling us the kitchen stopped cooking dinner at 8. And they let us sit there till 9 before we tried to flag them down and order.
Gem, food crazy good, check the happy hour, but service is mixed
