I LOVE Cafe Zupa.... BUT, (READ UPDATE AT BOTTOM) But, their doors, going in and out are filthy and the bathrooms arent mich better. Ordinarily itd worry me about what the kitchen cleanliness is like but I haven't seen ANYTHING to worry about in that regard. And I look for it. Food is consistently great. Just dont touch the doors with your hands or use the bathroom. People are messy and dirty and it looks like Cafe Zupa has their focus on the food....which is a good thing. We've noticed a downturn in the quality that café zupas used to present; our soup was warm, not hot. Our slice of pie was frozen solid. My sandwich had no avocado. The refreshers were almost empty, i haven't seen all filled in a couple years. They ran out of napkins. Their dessert case had broken, so they didn't have the variety they usually do. There was trash.. under the tables, in front of beverage station, and all around outside seating. For the food they offer, at higher prices, I expect much better.
Alyssa is the sweetest girl ever! Super careful and thoughtful with handling food. She made sure our order was correct, organized everything so nicely, and genuinely just made sure the presentation of the food was excellent. Thank you so much Alyssa! ❤️
Update: I came back to this location for lunch today and was happy to see that everything was much cleaner and wiped down than the first time. The food was still excellent and the staff was still very friendly and fast. As a result. I've edited my rating to five stars across the board. My wife and I just tried this place for the first time a couple days before I'm leaving this review. The food was really delicious. I’ve ordered from this location a handful of times and every single time, something has been wrong with my order. Today, specifically, I ordered on the app a pick 2 combo and went in to pick it up. I waited 25 minutes for my soup to be “ready” and it turns out it was sitting by the cashier for 20 minutes. So when I got home to eat my food, it was not very warm and the soup seemed separated in some way? Also, the salad I ordered comes with the vinaigrette. The dressing was pure oil. No herbs.
