This is a diamond find in the city of St. Albans. We have been there a number of times and never been disappointed. Even though it is a small setting, they do not rush you to try to fill your table with another setting. Setting. Each time we've gone, the staff have been informative, friendly and knowledgeable. The food choices are eclectic and made perfectly. For those that are vegetarians, there are fewer choices, but there are many appetizers that could be used as a meal. And if you have room for dessert, this is a must!
Talk about a great time. Reservations were fully booked but we were able to walk in at open for bar seating. The staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to talk to. The food… DELICIOUS. I’m talking deep fried mashed potatoes, corn chowder gnocchi, and sausage with potatoes. The sausage came with fennel slaw which I’ve never had and was very good. My first time to Cafe Monette. Only 1 word to describe the experience... AMAZING! Food was exceptional, staff was very courteous and professional and the atmosphere was very special. I will certainly be back!!
