Food was okay. Not great not bad. I ordered chicken tenders and frys. I got chicken nuggets shaped like chicken tenders. Breaded bleached chicken parts put together in a strip shape. Really it's kind of fitting as to where we are as a society I guess.
Went to purchase a bagel in the refrigerated section & it was dated July 30th. It's August 19th. The staff member watched me put it back. No explanation!
I'm here to expose a scam going on at this establishment, I just went there for their fatherday train event 6/21/2026. I ordered one cheeseburger one french fry & a small drink, I gave them a $20 for the meal, I could see my change was $2.82 the red headed girl with thick eye liner on, she handed me $2.00 I waited paitently for the rest of my change she told me good day...I use the coins for my son's piggy bank I was upset. Absolutely horrible food. For whatever reason, there were “staffing issues” and so instead of being served on the train, we had to pick it up here and then bring it on the train with us in tinfoil. No big deal, I had to eat a dog in Afghanistan one time. The problem is the food was absolutely wretched. The dog I ate in Afghanistan to survive actually tasted better. Absolutely terrible experience in a place of excellence. My family has been coming to the amazing Strasburg railroad for years and we love it here. Today was the first time we ever tried the cafe. We ordered 5 items to go. We waited over a half hour WITH NO LINE AHEAD OF US and everything in our order was wrong. We also said it was to-go and they handed us a tray for eat-in.
