I hired Paul in 2019 to inspect a mobile home I was purchasing. I lived in Colorado and was purchasing remotely and bought the home based on Paul's inspection. Fast forward to 2022, I'm replacing the skirting and I discover that the master bedroom shower drain wasn't even connected to the sewer so all this time, showers have been discharged on the ground under the trailer. Seems to me like this is something a good inspector would have caught.
Update: We ended up selling the home a few month later. Their inspector found pages of things that needed attention! ----- Unfortunately we went against our realtor's advice to go with a different inspector. Within minutes of the inspection starting, I had quietly told my husband we should pay him for his few minutes of time and call a different inspector. Unfortunately we didn't. We used Cadre Inspections for a pre-purchase inspection for our home in the mountains. Paul was early to the appointment and very courteous. He allowed my wife and I to walk the entire inspection with him and explained what he found at each step. Paul was very thorough and made us feel confident in our decision to purchase the home without reserve.
When moving from out of state during mid pandemic, I trusted Cadre to inspect the home we were buying. I was told “This house is in excellent condition,” which could not have been farther from the truth. NONE OF THESE MAJOR ISSUES WERE CALLED BY THIS INSPECTOR! 1.
