Cadet Restaurant has been a cornerstone of the local community for over 50 years. It is most known for its Poorboy sandwich, 30-foot tall statue, and regularly scheduled car cruises. Updated review: Stopped on my way thru. I got the poor boy, sweet potato fries, and my friend got the fish sandwich. The fries came out first. They were almost black and there were pieces of chicken or something amongst them. Then the sandwiches came out a few min later. The fish was just those frozen fish squares. The poor boy was good. There were no napkins on our table so I got some from another table. We paid our bill and left. The waitress was friendly. Nice diner style restaurant. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I always wanted to try the place with the big guy outside, now I'll be back.
