We visited Cacapon Resort State Park during the summer. It’s a nice spot for kids to play in the sand, and the water is not very deep, which makes it feel safer for families with young children. However, there were quite a few downsides. The washrooms were not clean, and the water quality didn’t seem great. It gets very crowded on summer days, which takes away from the relaxing experience. We have stayed here 3 times . This trip was for Valentine's weekend. Had a AMAZING time everytime !! Love the wine pairing and Valentine's specials. Lodge is always so clean . Staff is always friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Lori for all that she does in making the resort such a special place to stay !!!
My family has been going here since the 60s. Always a great time.
