I took my car in for a minor service and oil change, and was quoted $210. When I went to pay, the price was $230 because the new owners added a $20 “surcharge” at payment. While the staff were very friendly and helpful, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency around pricing. A 10% card surcharge wasn’t mentioned in the quote, which really impacts trust and confidence in the business. Honesty and clear communication go a long way — and I’m not even sure a 10% surcharge is legal in the first place.
