Fun bar.. Great bartenders and best happy hour ever!! Have been to Cabo a few times and love everything about it. The happy hour is two for one everyday 4-8pm and 10:30-12:30pm. They don't have enchiladas which is a drag, but the fajitas are great.The girl to guy ratio is good - there are always some good looking girls in the bar. Great jukebox playing mostly old rock songs, but has a good mixture of music (Go see bartender Eddy and ask about the body shot special - he is the man!)
Crap hole Not even done with our first round of drinks, a "GM" grabs the darts out of one of our female companions and tells her if you can't play don't play at all. He was obviously mad because she couldn't hit the board "every" time! Tried to explain this was her first time, but he picked up a broken tip ( costs one half penny if that) and said "this what happens when you don't know how to play!" I was waiting for a j/k instead he said you are done playing darts and snatched the remaing darts from the rest of the players! ... read more
Terrible experience Trying to get to Cabo Cantina is a pain unless you aren't driving a car. There's no parking anywhere near the place. Then once you're inside, the service is incredibly slow (and many of the servers are rude). The food isn't that great either. My margarita was alright but nothing to make me need to go back. Overall, a terrible experience all-around. I wouldn't recommend the place to anybody.
Love this place My husband and I went to NewPort for the weekend and came accross Cabo Cantina all I can say is great place the service was great and all was a good time...
fun place, but kinda smells bad i went here with a few friends after a day at the beach. drinks are buy one get one free which is awesome, but a lot of people come here after laying out in the hot sun all day. this leads to the faint (or sometimes not so faint) smell of body odor. Try the margaritas they are great. some of the waitresses are a little rude, but others are super nice. great place to hang out at the beach
Cabo Cantina is Superb i visited the place last tuesday. I love it. They have the best tasting carne asada tacos I have ever tasted and the salsa was wonderful. Mexican food is my favorite food and I know good mexican food when I taste it The service was great and the customers were real friendly. Rude & Terrible Service Rude and worst service I've ever had anywhere. The place was busy, but took 25 minutes and complaining to the only people I could find, security before waitress came to take order. Then another 20 minutes passed and still no drink. The waitress seemed to want to spend her time carrying on conversations with other customers and having shots of tequila with them. Welcome to CABO!!! You don't really go there for the food, but there's a good mix of simple Mexican food and the portions are monstrous! The atmosphere, fun, and service is what this place is about. Its the best spot in the area for sporting event watching and having a few drinks with friends.
Cabo Cantina is great fun! I personally enjoyed Cabo Cantina. Yes the place is spontaneous and fun and rockin', so remember to leave your hang ups behind by not imagining that everytime one goes out, that wherever they go has to match the Ritz Carlton. If you like some tasty treats and very delicious Margaritas, then this 'no hang ups' place is for you, sure beats the sushi that used to be there!
