I stayed at Caballo Loco Ranch, and it was truly the best thing I’ve ever done. When I arrived, I had been sick for two years, lost all my hair, and honestly didn’t know what tomorrow would bring. But the moment I drove in, something incredible came over me. It felt peaceful, comforting — almost healing. Like I could run my fingers through the clouds. This place has a kind of magic that’s hard to explain. Life here is simpler in the best way. It gives you real serenity. And honestly, it’s not just an RV park — it’s a communi... read more

Can't stand reviews at sites like Google, Trip Advisor etc. Always... half say 5 star and the other half say 1 star for the Caballo Loco Ranch. Most complain about the 9 miles of very rough 'dirt' road into this place. Yikes... 9 miles at 10 mpp = 1 hour. The complainers say the campgrounds looks and feel like a run down homeless park.

I have lived here for 10 months now, and love the place. Like any campground, there are malcontents that will complain about little things like not being catered to. The reality is that this is a relatively remote place where you absolutely must be self-sufficient to a large degree. There has not been full-time management until recently, but the new management team are very attentive and reasonable. Since the ranch has been under new management many of the so-called bad influences have left. If you love natural beauty, priva... read more

I have been at CABALLO LOCO RANCH full time for 2 years. I love the home on the range CLR has created and made available to so many really wonderful people. The beauty that surrounds you here has an effect on you. This is my experience. The small community here is an example of a simple good life living. On the ranch there are full hook ups and boondocks. The ranch has several public areas for all residents to enjoy as well as restrooms and showers facilities in both lower and upper areas of the ranch. The 8 mile dirt road w... read more
