I recently went to C & S Small Engine to find out the cost, or estimated cost, of a repair for my lawn mower. He told me he doesn’t give estimates any more and I would have to leave it and that he would fix it first and then tell me the cost when he’s done. I told him I’m not going to leave my mower here without knowing, or being given, at least an estimate for the job. He eventually told me he charges $60 per hour.
