Deep-fryer mastery is not a common thing, but these folks have it. Maybe 3 times in my life I had an onion ring that was not greasy, crunchy exterior but the onion bit right through. The halibut was beautiful. Really glad we stepped in here!

We visited C-Lovers in Horseshoe Bay and ordered two “all you can eat fish and chips” meals for our children. While they were eating, we realized that what was served was actually chicken, not fish. As Muslims, we only eat halal food, and this was very disappointing and concerning for us. Even more importantly, we discovered that both the fish and the chicken are fried in the same oil. C-Livers Fish & Chips is definitely one of the better spots for classic fish and chips. The food was fresh, well-cooked, and flavorful — the batter was light and crispy without being greasy, and the fries were perfectly done. Service was excellent too, very friendly and attentive staff that made the visit enjoyable (5/5 for both food and service).
