What a great experience! I'm always looking for unique activities that both my husband and I will enjoy. This definitely qualifies! We traveled nearly 2 hours for the beginner class, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Donnie provided an entertaining, educational experience. Fantastic experience! I highly recommend CJ Forge. Donnie is an excellent teacher with great communication skills. He patiently answered ALL of my son's questions, ( he had a list ready). I enjoyed watching the entire process. My son made some really cool items and had a great time.
My girlfriend’s dad and I recently had a blacksmithing lesson with Donnie and it was awesome! We each made a few simple hooks and each made a knife. It was definitely harder than we each thought it’d be, but Donnie was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us throughout the entire process. Overall we were there for about 4-4.5 hours and it felt like that time flew by, plus it was fair pricing. We’d both recommend a lesson with Donnie from CJ Forge if anyone is interested in smithing, and we’d definitely go back!
My wife bought me a 4-hour class at CJ Forge for Christmas. The blacksmith, Donnie, completely catered the class to my interests/needs. I had never used a coal forge before, so I was not sure what to expect. I had made a couple of knives in the past and really didn't think I would have an interest in general blacksmithing...I was wrong! I really enjoyed the class, and it opened my eyes to new possibilities!
Went for a 4 hour intro class and could not have had a better time. If you have ever considered trying out blacksmithing, I could not recommend this any more. Great time, great instructor!
