A horrible experience. Although highly recommended, Chuck was an inconsiderate jerk from the start. He "rebuilt" my LS3, promising to return ALL used parts as well as provide a detailed blueprint of the work and dimensions of all machined surfaces. I never got the blueprint, he kept a lot of internal parts claiming they were "junk". I see he regularly sells used parts to customers! What does that tell you about Chuck? Solid.
Nice work, but pricey. I brought in 2 LS cylinder heads with the valves still in them just to have the bottom end checked for flatness and a layer shaved off to get it completely flat again. They quoted me $375 initially, which is around what I expected, but after the work was said and done I was charged $480. A lot of money for a quick job on a cylinder head that all machine shops are familiar with.
