Perfect vibe. Lots of locals. Food is just ok.
Service was good- somewhat friendly bartender while we watched a World Cup match. The place wasn’t crowded as it was very early summer. The nachos were awful. Processed cheese that was hard and stuck together by the time it was served. We debated sending it back. As fans of pub food, this was disappointing.
We’ve been coming to Byrnes for years and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s about as close to Ireland as you’ll find in Maine. We always look forward to seeing Angela and Kaitlyn, who provide outstanding service and make every visit memorable. The Cobb salad is one of my favorites, and the tap list is always excellent. A Bath staple that keeps us coming back year after year.
