Wonderful spot. More like an American motel than a hotel. Ideal for families. Very welcoming and helpful.
Very clean and great hosts
This place is amazing, great sized rooms, comfortable beds and even a choice between firm or soft pillows. But it's the ladies that run the place that make it amazing. They are super friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We asked for an early check-in as we were going to a wedding at 3. Not only did we get that early check-in but they put a bottle of champagne in the fridge for a pre celebration. Wonderful stay at By The Sea Port Douglas! It is not a luxury resort, and it does not pretend to be, but it is exactly the kind of place that makes travel easy, comfortable and pleasant. The location is great, the rooms are simple but very well thought out, and the team is genuinely welcoming, helpful and professional.
