My Mother is presently under the care of By the Bay Health in Marin County for at home physical, occupational and speech therapy with a bit of limited nursing through Medicare. Her therapists (and nurses) are fantastic!!! I could not recommend more their services!
My experience with Hospice by the Bay was generally positive. From my first phone call, George got my mom all set-up in literally hours. All while I was up in Portland. I do wish there was more training, I have NO idea what I am doing, so it would be helpful to have someone run through how to do things (YouTube videos even?). I also wish we got more time from the nurses, some scary things happened to my mother on her journey and I had to pull teeth to get someone to come out and observe her. When you call hospice you are in a bad place and want someone who can help you navigate a very painful process. The Hospice By the Bay team was excellent. Our nurse, Josh Hayes, was so experienced, gracious and thoughtful. He made a world of difference for us. Other members of the team educated us and were always caring and nice.
