I was very tired from hiking gorges so I would suggest saving a whole morning for this. I bought a t-shirt with orange wings I feel helps conserve butterflies ohio is known for I am really into butterfly conservation from Michigan.
One of our favourite places to visit in Hocking Hills. Low-key trails, LOTS of native insects, and the owners love to engage with fellow entomology enthusiasts and rewilding enthusiasts.
This place is doing a great job educating people about plants, butterflies and moths!! We've gone twice and will definitely be going back. There are also some cute wing photo opportunities available there!
This past weekend me & my boyfriend were visiting hocking hills to celebrate my birthday & since planning that trip one of the main things i wanted to go see was the conservation center & i'm sure glad i did ! the owners were very sweet & you could tell they love what they do ! the amount of butterflies we saw blew me away ! i would definitely recommend this place to anyone & i promise you won't be disappointed ! it's definitely going to be a staple in each & every trip we take there from here out ! best wishes !
