My youngest son is obsessed with butterflies. I found out about the Butterfly Garden after searching Google Maps. It opened for the season the next day so we had an adventure day. Both my boys enjoyed visiting. We appreciated the short educational talk at the before being shown to the butterfly enclosure. We all enjoyed seeing the butterflies and trying to get them to go on our q-tips. The highlight was when they landed on us-wear bright clothes. We also loved the Koi pond. Loved our visit although it turned out to not be a great day. It was great seeing the butterflies and learning about them. We learned a lot about butterflies and bees. It was sad to hear that this is going to be their last year.

For decades the Butterfly Garden of Wisconsin has focused on education and conservation. While walking there I had the honor of meeting Jack and thanking him for all the work. As soon as you enter, a guide welcomes you and shows a small exhibit with hatching pupae and an observation beehive. After a short talk on butterflies and conservation, they teach you how to feed the butterflies with a Q‑Tip dipped in Gatorade. I never knew they liked it, but everyone needs electrolytes, I guess.
