Loved our visit although it turned out to not be a great day. It was great seeing the butterflies and learning about them. We learned a lot about butterflies and bees. It was sad to hear that this is going to be their last year.
For decades the Butterfly Garden of Wisconsin has focused on education and conservation. While walking there I had the honor of meeting Jack and thanking him for all the work. As soon as you enter, a guide welcomes you and shows a small exhibit with hatching pupae and an observation beehive. Beautiful place! Lots of butterflies and the walking trails are easy.
We took our preteen granddaughters to see the butterflies. The volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They had live caterpillars, Chrysalis and emerging butterflies. The butterfly enclosure was smaller than anticipated. However, it did have live plants and butterflies. They had outdoor walking paths.
