Socialization is the most important.....
Butler Creek Kennels is the ONLY place we will take our dogs! We know that they will be taken good care of! Emily takes the time to let them out for play time in a safe, fenced in area at no extra cost (which is VERY rare!) Also, they are not forced to go potty in their crates like at several other kennels weve used in the past. They come home tired due to the amount of time she gives them to play outside. I wouldnt even give this place a star thats how bad it is!! I took my 4 month old puppy to the training class BIG mistake ever!!! She was sooo horrible to my puppy I stop going after 2 classes. She would hurt my puppy she would show us things what we should do to discipline our dogs. She would always cancel the training classes for her own personal time she would always say she is going to a class to work on her website well it still looks the same. Although Butler Creek Kennels advertises boarding and training classes, my brother bought a "purebred" yellow lab puppy from Emily. He paid an exorbitant amount of money for this puppy, AND he ended up paying two exterminating services to get rid of the fleas that came with the puppy. My brother never received the "AKC" papers she was to have come with. Ive had my dog stay here for boarding and she loves it. My dog also goes to this kennel EVERY Wednesday for doggie daycare. Shes there from 6:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and its in an enclosed grassy area with trees, toys, water, & other friendly dogs. Give it a try---Your dog will love it. The best boarding experience Ive ever had. Ive had problems with my dog being dirty and seriously stressed to the point of blowing their coats and chewing hot spots. I dropped off a happy, clean healthy 7 month old golden and 4 days later picked up a clean, happy, healthy pup. He came home and is right back in the same routine we left off with. He is no worse for wear. I am considering taking my pup for training, Ill let you know how that goes.
I do not recommend this training facility for anyone who is looking to have a structured training environment. Every class would have new dogs in which we would start again from day one. This would leave little or no time to work on new training that your dog might need. She has no structure or criteria to the class and in some cases will just teach nonsense.Ex.
