Great BBQ – Is it a dump or dive???? I've been to many dumps and dives and this place does not even qualify. What I found was a great atsmophere, a friendly and helpful staff, and outstanding food. The place had a mixture of locals and tourists alike. I'll surely go back here again and recommend Buster's to everyone.
Best BBQ in Austin – Who cares if the place is a dump? The food is great, people are friendly, and you don't need to wear your sunday best to enjoy a sunday meal. Great take out for parties and decent prices. Pretty far out location but trust me wen I say it's worth the drive.
Very good bbq, a lot better than the competition – If you can get past the view (or lack thereof) inside, you will love Busters. Very good food, sides, you name it. On a bad note, A bit chaotic with kids running everywhere and very run down inside. Kind of feels like mayberry in there and in the parking lot. Will order again and again via carryout.
Good bbq, even better sides, and did I mention cobbler? – Been here twice and both times have not been disappointed. Great brisket, pulled pork (garlic bomb, yum), but for me I loved busters for the sides. The slaw was really fresh and the peach cobbler was perfect, still warm and tons of crusty cinammon. I have to disagree with the last reviewer about the people working there.. they were so helpful when we came on our first visit that they spent 5-10 minutes just explaining the way the menu works. They even gave us suggesti... read more
NOT the best in the world. – It's pretty ballsy for them to put themselves out as the best in the world..the sign out front says so. It's in a VFW hall or what used to be one. If you've ever seen Sweet Home Alabama it kind of reminded me of the bar in Alabama that they all hung out in. The place was pretty busy and there were only 3 people working. A woman that was similar to the soup n*zi was working the counter, a guy that could have been her oldest son cooking and yelling at his son to get the food out. The poor kid. No o... read more
Local favorite serves traditional and new variations on barbecue. – In Short Buster's serves sandwiches, po boys, and of course, multiple variations on barbecue to fill your hungry stomach. Pulled pork is doused with vinegar-pepper sauce and the Garlic Bomb is pork shoulder stuffed with fresh garlic and sliced. Specialty dishes feature sugar ducks (Long Island duckling rubbed with brown sugar and East Texas spice) and fresh semi-boneless quail (South Texas quail marinated with sweet onion and jalapeno honey). Sides include b... read more
Fabulous Experience! – A new location as of 1-2 years ago. Need to look for it - business sign could be more prominent. A wonderful relaxing atmosphere - you'll leave satisfied both with the food and the setting. Large screen TV, comfortable chairs, big tables. Truly a place to relax and enjoy very good bar-b-que. The outdorr smoker and scent of brisket is intoxicating.
Great Q – I love this place. Great BBQ of all types. The pulled pork is my favorite, but you have to try the garlic bomb and H-bomb sandwiches. Also, a treat for spice...is to mix a little of the korean hot sauce in their cole slaw...wow...good stuff.
