4 years ago, the reunification process, starting with Dr. Bussey’s sessions, had laid the foundation for a relationship with my two daughters, which is now simply miraculous.
Sadly we were court ordered to see Dr. Bussey for a 730 evaluation. Going though that process really is the last place that a family wants to be as its expensive, exhaustive, and in our case also completely unnecessary. Having said that, I can honestly say that Dr. Bussey was very thorough and impartial. In a court system that proudly claims to be impartial, but isn't, it was nice to see that somebody who was court appointed actually was. Being a 730 evaluator is not an easy job. It takes a person who truly cares to get to the bottom of things to make the right decision for any family. The decisions that a 730 evaluator makes can affect your children for the rest of their lives. Bussey did not get past the surface of our family dynamic with his recommendations. He also recommended Special Masters for our future family disputes. Why would any parent require Special Masters to make final decisions for their children or family?
