Compassionate, caring vets We've been taking our cats to Best Friends for years, and of all of the vets in the Rogue Valley that we have been to (and we have like many of them), we continue to like and appreciate Best Friends the best. Dale and his staff are ALWAYS there for us, with time, patience, information, caring and compassion. Whenever one of our cats has had to be euthenized, Dale and his staff have been present and available for our needs, always going "above and beyond."
Do NOT go - they only care about $$$ We had a very bad experience with Best Friends. They misdiagnosed our cat (said she didn't have cancer, but she did) and she died painfully. We asked them to drop some of the $2000+ charges as they were negligent, but they refused. They sued us and also wouldn't hand over the medical records so we could show what had happened. If money (or accuracy) is an issue for you, I recommend you don't go. "All Creatures" is wonderful, caring, and affordable.
Compassionate Care for Cats Best Friends is the only place we have taken our cats. The staff are friendly and professional. They gave us lots of options when one of our cats had a terminal illness, including helping us to provide home/hospice care for the cat. When the time came to put down the cat, they were right there with us, gave us time to say goodbye, and even sent us a sympathy card for the cat's passing.
