I wish i could leave negative stars. Really simple, in my opinion this is a scam bank and the scammiest of them all with their scammy tactics they pull .Like all the other reviews, this is one of those scam banks that feel they need to let you overdraft so they can scam you out of fees.. I arrived at Busey in Urbana on Philo Rd on Wednesday, February 3rd to do some banking. The sign said no one could enter without an appointment. This was different than other times I’ve visited since the pandemic started, when they just wanted customers to ring the bell first. I called from my vehicle and was told I couldn’t enter and no other branches are open for indoor transactions. I explained what I needed and was told they might be able to help in the drive thru. I am only rating this as one star because zero stars was not an option. This bank has costed me time and money. The staff is poorly trained. Customer support told me to not contact my local branch because they are poorly trained. Customer support took hours to respond to my online messages. My transactions were declined days after the purchase was made causing the transaction to fall though. This occurred after one of their staff members told me that the transaction had gone though. TERRIBLE BANK.

I've used Busey for 18 years. I have no complaints with any of the branches that I've used in Bloomington/Normal or Decatur. They have been responsive online and in person. I love the online chat functionality and like the new mobile app as well. I have nothing but good things to say. We have 3 deposit accounts with Busey and one loan. We will continue using them.

Typically people use BBB to leave bad experiences. I want to thank Frank for his customer service he provided to me. There was an unexpected issue and he was able to work with me and solve the issue. Made it super simple and was able to fix the issue thru the chat via the Mobile app. I have thought about cancelling my account since the merger with The bank of Edwardsville But I will give busey another try..

Absolutely horrible bank! Account comprised and the fact they just drag their feet like it's no big deal is absurd! I had 7 or 8 charges that was due to the comprising of my account and one was refunded and then when a second one that was reported at the same time as the refunded one was reported they said there was no record, but they moved very fast to refund it once I said something so........ who dropped the ball there? Things seem fine....until they drop the ball. I suggest doing business elsewhere.
Since Busey merged/ bought out our bank we have had deposits disappear. First time we transferred money to cover an unexpected expense. First couple days showed the transfer then all the sudden the transfer was gone wasnt in our checking or savings account. They finally put the money back in our account. Then a couple days later we deposited cash into our account. Two days later the deposit again disappeared and were charged overdraft fees. We had to 2 savings accounts , one was for our son. I received an unexpected visit today, at my home, from an employee of Busey Bank. I cant tell you his name, because he never told me who he was. I had a migraine and was laying down when my husband came in and said someone from Busey Bank was here. I walked toward the front door and saw a man standing just inside the door.
