Thanks for the Memories Those who have been coming to Townsends Inlet for many years will remember fishing off Johns Pier, the post office at Sweetmans, cheesesteaks from the Charcoal House, and the arcade where all the teenagers would hang out on the corner. bunny Born and raised in a neighboring island community, Busch's was a destnation for our family twice every summer, way back in the early 60's. They knew us, our parents and us 5 kids. Back then, I was just a small child, and we ate this stuff, fresh seafood, before our teeth came in. We always got big wire baskets of steamers and a lobster platter. Dirt cheap back then. Tradition Typical busy Seafood house with a long tradition This is my in-laws favorite shore restaurant. Large facility but there is always a wait in season because it is so good. She Crab soup a specialty. Everything fresh and service is good even for large parties.
Say Goodbye to a Landmark Landmark restaurant that gives huge portions. Their seafood raw plate and she-crab soup are wonderful. Too bad this will be the last year they will be open.

Island Institution I have been going to Busch's since I was a child. It is one of the nicest (and priciest) restaurants in Sea Isle. Mention it to people who vacation in Sea Isle and it is either their favorite restaurant there or they think it is overrated. I fall somewhere in the middle of these two groups. I think the food is some of the best available in the area, but I think compared to restaurants elsewhere, it is slightly lacking.
