Dr Burwinkel is very informative of protocols. Have a sheet which I have been following each month. Love that he is down to earth and taking the time to talk to you. Also reads my list of questions and answers them when I have them. Very honest person. Very soft spoken, patient and calm Not sure if he gave correct timing for trigger shot for me to do. I share my experience to hopefully educate others on their journey and keep them from the same mistake and heartache. We had a number of issues, but the most relevant I’d like to share to others who are seeking a clinic for IVF, I strongly do NOT recommend IRH. They called and said we had only 1 embryo, and then an hour later another nurse called and said, “We made a mistake, you have 2.” This started our major distrust. A year later we moved clinics. We were seeing another Dr at the practice, but had to see Dr Burwinkel on an early Monday morning to confirm a miscarriage over the weekend. This man lacked people/communication skills beyond comprehension. Obviously we were very upset at this moment, as this was our 2nd in a row. Of course we were looking/wanting answers and asking questions like any other couple would. He then proceeded to give us history lessons on equipment and practices. Insensitive & careless

I got married shortly after my 40th birthday. We had already been trying to get pregnant for a few months. Went to a different clinic and had 3 IVF procedures that all failed. Came to Dr. Burwinkel and he suggested I try just inseminations with injectables (about 1/10th of the cost of IVF). Got pregnant with my son on the first try. And my second baby is due in January - I will be 44. Everyone of the docs, nurses, and staff at IRH are wonderful, and they worked miracles for our family!

Dr. Burwinkel and the staff at IRH are outstanding. We couldn't be happier with their treatment. Dr. Burwinkel was so personable and took a deep interest in our well being and made it his personal goal to see us attain our desired results. He didn't not sugar coat his diagnoses and was always confident in his recommendations on the next steps of our treatment. We highly recommend this institute.

My husband and I went through 3 rounds of IUI which all failed. Every month we asked questions about why it hadn't worked. What can we do to improve things? His response every time was nothing. The day after our 3rd iui he called to tell us that it wouldn't work. It was all my husband's poor sperm. We scheduled an appointment with a nurse to discuss ivf to get information. She informs me I have pcos. He never told us! No wonder iui didn't work. Do your research and go somewhere else!
