I am extremely disappointed with my experience working with this contractor. After paying over $2,000 upfront for materials and work that was promised, the job was never completed and communication became inconsistent and unreliable. We have had a TERRIBLE experience with Mike Burroughs of Burroughs Construction in Oxford. This has been very disappointing because we used Mr. Burroughs for a project three years ago with good results. In October of 2025 we hired Mr. Burroughs to convert our open rear deck into an enclosed three season screened porch. Looks like my experience is similar to some of the other reviewers. It took multiple texts and calls to get an install timeframe after the contractor charged a deposit. He did not install the week he wrote he “definitely” would, and was then completely unresponsive for 2-3 weeks, replying finally only after I mentioned legal steps.
Mike did an exceptional job finishing my basement. His craftsmanship is top-notch, and he truly pays attention to every detail. From start to finish, he was thorough, professional, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work.
