family-owned farm, in business since 1980. Our 20-acre farm is located in the foothills of the Cascade mountains with a beautiful view of Mount St. Helens. Our mail order nursery specializes in unusual and disease resistant trees, vines, and shrubs that produce edible nuts or fruits. We also have a large selection of Northwest native plants and ornamental and useful landscape trees. We send nice sized, healthy, well-rooted plant material. The varieties we carry have done well in our orchards. If you have questions, please fe... read more

This is a terrible business. I ordered Kiwi plants from them. They arrived dead. They would take no responsibility. I lost lots of money. A void them entirely.
The larger sized trees I paid extra for are sadly disappointing, Strawberries looked sick, this is the worst mail order nursery ever, bordering on fraud,
I ordered $400+ worth of larger sized trees etc. I have ordered previously and been pleased, This time the quality is awful, tiny sticks, a couple DOA. Nursery response, snarky, I will never shop here again, change of owners maybe?
just received an order two larger size persimmon tree (only 3/8 caliper) and one jujube tree (only 1/4 stick). very disappointed, the larger size persimmon trees are only 3/8 caliper and the jujube tree only 1/4 caliper, it is unacceptable. this nursery can not be trusted.

I ordered material from Burnt Ridge in late 2021. I received an order confirmation and then in January of 2022 I was invoice for the order. As I write this, it is now April of 2022 and I have not received my order. To make matters worse, the company will not return my phone calls nor answer any of my email requests. I hate to pursue this further but this has all of the earmarks of fraud. I would be very weary about ordering anything from this company ... they don’t respond. And, they obviously don’t deliver.
They sent me two dead sticks, then refused to refund me the cost of shipping (which was 150% the price of the sticks). They accused me of doing something wrong, claiming that they had sent out lots and lots of those specific trees with no issues. Then they claimed that they had a no-refund policy from July-Nov, even though it appeared nowhere on their site. (I placed my order on July 1.) Even though I pointed out to them that the trees were dead upon arrival and thus probably dead when they left the nursery (and with alm... read more
I am leading an effort to establish a hardwood plantation in Wyoming and made Burnt Ridge Nursery a part of this effort with a $1400 order of Shagbark Hickory and Skookum and Sleeping Giant Chestnut seedlings. I gave this order every chance. I wish I had done a detailed inspection of the seedlings upon pickup this past spring. I was expecting to pick up dormant seedlings from cold storage but instead all were well past bud break and quite leafy. All our other dormant stock from other suppliers was picked up well prior to... read more
