My grandfather had his first surgery ever with Dr Burns. She replaced one shoulder and then years later replaced the other shoulder. He was in his early 80's with the first shoulder and I was nervous for him. After meeting Dr Burns and reviewing the risks and benefits, I felt completely at ease. She did an awesome job on my total shoulder replacement I had done in 2018. My shoulder feels brand new and I have been using it playing pickleball 3 hours a day. I have no limitations and my shoulder feels like it did when I was 20 years old and I turn 71 this month. I am considering having her do my left shoulder. I play competitive pickleball and have received 46 medals so I am very active. I can tell you I can lift anything and move my shoulder in all directions pain free. Several years ago I had two shoulder surgeries on my right shoulder, to remove some loose debris, both on the same day. She found nothing. Yet a second MRI revealed there are four arthritic cysts still in my shoulder. So she performed surgery and fixed NOTHING. I my opinion she is an awful surgeon and I wouldn’t allow her to operate on me again EVER! I am now going in on Tuesday for yet another surgery to fix a torn rotator cuff and clean up the mess she couldn’t. Nothing went well.
I had shoulder surgery by Dr. Burns to repair torn ligament's in my shoulder. this was very rough initial recovery. Had a second surgery to remove scare tissues and now my arm is nearly back to normal. Dr. Burns in my mind is a great surgeon, explained in details and would recommend her to anyone that looking for a great surgeon. Always never rushed my appointments with her ! I had an appointment and she was very kind and explained the pros and cons of having surgery. She spent a lot of time with me. She examined my shoulder and was very professional.
Dr. Erica Burns is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. She cares about her patients and took the time during every visit to thoroughly answer all my questions. Dr. Bruns performed my rotator cuff surgery and I am very pleased. She is a great physician!
Dr. Burns took the time to explain my injury and the best treatment, which did not involve surgery. I was very impressed with her professionalism. She also explained everything in laymens terms that I could understand.
I can not imagine there be an orthopedic that is worse than DR Burns, she is rude, condescending, treated me horribly, never answered my question, she said i had a mild injury, yet two hearsd later i still have pain and can feel a displaced bone
Very nice, made me feel comfortable and explained indetail all aspects of my shoulder diagnosis thru exrays and pros cons about surgery and answered all my guestions. Spent alot if time with me and I never felt as though she was in a hurry to get through the appointment. Extremely satisfied from the front desk thru all involved in my appointment.
