I just spent 2 nights with my mother in the only disabled cabin and I have also fed these concerns back to the lease holder via email. The cabin had a constant ant problem and was very musty smelling.The vertical blind that was supposed to cover the sliding glass door was broken and missing slats so it left the entire lounge area and the included bedroom area open. We stayed on a powered site for one night. The manager was nice & friendly & let us check in at 8am after coming of the SOT. The sites were spacious but not flat as it's located on a hill & were at the back of the property behind the motel. The entry, exit & roadway to the sites was quite narrow (for a car & 21' van).
Bass Hwy traffic noise intrudes apt at front. Probably 1970 era. Park at door. Bed comfortabkr. Full stove full fridge. Needs sound proof glazing. Water view over highway.
3 good things man in reception very pleasant, quiet and we saw penguins. That’s it garbage bins not emptied , amenities not cleaned rhe 2 nights we were there. Mens amenities leaking 2 showers not working. $45 a night
The Oceanview caravan park is leased/ run by some lovely people... but the owner won't spend any money on it to renovate it ... The pictures are 20 years ago so don't believe what you see as we did. Everything is very run down, from the indoor pool to the toilet/shower facilities. Its a long way from shops / always having to drive somewhere. Internet is terrible in the park and wifi provided by the park drops in and out. We stayed too many days based here ... 2 nights would have been enough...we had a deluxe cabin which was ... read more
