Extremely Disappointed- will not stay again We’ve stayed here many times over the years, but this recent visit was incredibly disappointing and has ensured we won’t be coming back. Upon arrival, we were hit with a horrible, musty smell coming from the main bedroom of our 2-bedroom apartment—it was overwhelming and made the room completely unusable. We recently stayed at Burleigh Surf Apartments and were drawn by the excellent beachfront location. Our apartment was spacious with beautiful ocean views, and the proximity to shops and walking tracks was a real highlight. That said, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. It’s clear that each apartment is individually owned, which means the quality and upkeep can vary significantly. I wish I read through the Trip Advisor reviews before booking ... The website reviews look handpicked from a number of sites to give them legitimacy as no poor ratings appear there. Don’t stay here, save yourself the grief and money! Management charged us $220 in cleaning fees for stains on the dining chairs that we did not make. Great location. The receptionist who was working 19th and 20th May was an absolutely delightful lady, such a warm and welcoming vibe.
