Had a F150 with what was believed to have a bad starter. Had it towed to Burkart ***** They did a diagnostics, came back and told me the motor or transmission was seized, and that the truck was basically junk.Took it to another mechanic that replaced the starter truck runs fine. When questioned, was told that they still had to charge me the diagnostics charge of $160, for the work they did. (even though what they did was bad)Was treated like I was the idiot for questioning their decision.
Had my van towed to Burkart Ford. Had to sign papers to ok diagnostics charge of $250.00 but when I asked questions about the charge and about getting a written estimate like the form said the manager Jack went ballistic. Reached in front of me to grab the forms. Told me he wasn't fixing my van and to "GET OUT" when I asked why he was getting angry he got even angrier again telling my daughter and I to "GET OUT" and get my van off his lot or I would be charged $35.00 per day till it's off his lot. Do NOT EVER take your car for service work. My wife had taken her vehicle there after her car was hit while she was parked. First, they had it for over 4 months and we constantly had to go back and forth with insurance that they were indeed still working on it and a rental was needed. Then they used a second hand knuckle with an old wheel bearing because, (they literally wrote this in the report) they could not get the bearing out of the knuckle.
