I have always liked Bunnings but I have noticed a recent change and just wondered if others have noticed it. Bunnings seems to be cutting down on its stock lines and pushing people to use "marketplace" for items that should be stock lines eg the consumables for machines they sell. This has been confirmed by employees who help me look for something and then tell me "we used to have it but looks like they arent stocking it any more". Today I received some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced — not just at Bunnings (where the bar can sometimes be… flexible), but in my entire life. Angelo from the Coburg Bunnings paint department is an absolute standout. The perfect mix of professionalism, compassion, and deep product knowledge, he didn’t miss a beat. The man is razor-sharp. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Jules from Special Orders at Bunnings Caringbah. After being directed to her for assistance with a product I intended to purchase, I waited patiently while she engaged in light hearted banter with customers ahead of me. However, as soon as she turned to me, her entire demeanour shifted. What's happened to bunnings Frankston? The service use to be fantastic, these days staff are grabbing random items off the shelf and walking round and round in a circle doing nothing other than attempting to avoid customers, while customers try and get some help. Prices have increased in the last month by more than 10%. And none of the staff knows where any of the products are kept in the store. Do yourself a favour, Mitre 10 is a 5 minute drive up the road, go there instead.
I cannot express enough thanks to Aaron in the timber area (cutting area) for his professionalism which included his personal friendly manner and his input and care relating to the making of my custom-made barn door. He went above and beyond. Best Wishes and thanks to him from Nick.
