This is a truly special place: there is so much history as well as comfort with the beautiful new robot toilet, showers, hot tub, etc. Mitch puts so much work into deliberately creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone in the LGBTQ community and beyond. Five stars for the Bunk House Lodge and our host Mitch! The lodge is clean, cozy, and perfectly located for skiing. We were so grateful for Mitch’s hospitality; after a long day of flight delays and driving, he greeted us personally at 4:00 AM. It’s rare to find such a dedicated and kind host. If you’re looking for a well-maintained place near Breckenridge or Frisco, this is it!
My two-day stay at the Bunkhouse Lodge in Breckenridge was truly memorable. The place has a quaint, charming character that immediately makes you feel at home. You can tell a lot of care has gone into maintaining it - Mitch, the owner, has done a wonderful job preserving its unique feel while keeping everything welcoming and comfortable. My fiancé and I had an amazing time staying at the Bunkhouse. Super unique place that we found to be a safe place to rest after the mountain. Mitch (owner) makes your stay feel homie, like a host having his friends over for the weekend. Right next to a bus stop, makes it very easy to reach town. Has a nice hot tub which is essential after a long day of snowboarding.
