We took the Dark Side of Charleston tour to learn more about how the town became so illegally affluent. Charlton was our guide and we enjoyed the tour very much. A word of caution: it is described pretty well in the brochure. If you are not wanting this type of plain language tour then don't go. But we got what we paid for along with some very nice and funny young ladies and the evening was most enjoyable. It was unique to walk close to graveyards and alleys at night.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We were so looking forward to the Ghost & Dungeon tour while in Charleston since we love this type of thing. The tour guide (I cannot recall her name...that how unimpressed we were), was just awful. She stuttered all the way through and kept forgetting what she was talking about. She gave us the feeling that she was just trying to get the tour over with. We may possibly try another tour since I have read great reviews overall but highly unlikely. Our tour was of the Charleston Jail. Our guide was informed of not only the spooky details but historical facts as well. It was a great time and I would highly recommend it to anyone
The jail history tour was my favorite thing I did in Charleston. The ominous appearance of the jail immediately sets the tone for the information you will learn. Our guide, Zach, did a spectacular job! He was punctual and friendly. Most importantly, he knew so much about the jail. Joy was a great guide, we had a big rowdy group and she handled it well. The tour was very educational and fun.
We went on the dark side of Charleston and the Jail tours. They were both really cool and informative. Definitely cool experiences.
We did both the VIP tour and the Old City Jail tours. We had an awesome time with both. We definitely recommend these tours if you are looking for entertainment and to learn a bit of history while in town.
