Best Animal Hospital in Irving! Our vet of many years moved to another hospital and then retired shortly after. We were looking for a new vet and tried a couple in Irving but didn't have that comfort level with either. I decided to try Buena Vista with my new puppy. He's the Best! My family began visiting Dr. Burkett's office when I was a teenager. I tried a couple of other vets after moving out of the Irving area and was extremely regretful, both having had a ??move ??em in & move ??em out? feeling along with very expensive vet bills, and learned my lesson. Now almost 30 years later, every member of my family continues to bring their pets to Dr. Burkett even though we??ve all moved away?in some cases up to 30 miles. Awesome Bedside Manner!! We took our newest baby, Bennie there on a good friends recommendation. We'd taken our other two girls to other vets in the area and weren't happy with the price or the experience. These ladies were so sweet to our German Shepherd with treats & loving and Dr. Burkett couldn't have been more thorough, compassionate or sweet to a nervous puppy, or nervous "parents". We were so impressed that our old lady Bella (a 10+ year old hound mix) has an appointment this next week!
Bobby Nikki and Flicka Dr Burkett is one of a kind. We have used him since moving to Irving. I lived in Oaklawn before Irving and took my cat to Dr Ash off Inwood, another excellent vet but is retired. It was going to take a special vet to replace Dr Ash and I was fortunate enough to find Dr Burkett. We have never had any problem or doubts when using Dr Burkett. He is thorough and always checks back to see if everything is ok after any treatments. He is definitely WORLD CLASS VET!

OK I expected a lot more honestly after reading reviews here, but was a bit disappointed my first visit. The vet seemed like he was in a rush. I expected more patience and more time with him. My other questions did not have a chance to be asked as he was already out the door. He seemed like a good man and a skilled vet but I left a bit dissatisfied. The staff was also a bit disappointing.
