We booked a car through Budget and our flight got in slightly late. The website says they shut at 10:15pm. When we got there before 9pm (less than half hour past our booking) no one was there to be able to pick the car up. Was told on the phone that as per the terms and conditions, if you are even one minute late they can cancel your booking. Apparently you are meant to call while on a plane when you have no service. WARNING!! This company hires Aggressive staff . I was screamed at and almost assaulted by a man named DALE who works in Cairns .
If I could give 0 stars I would. There is no where on their website when booking do they make first time local renters conditions obvious. Got to the counter on the day after booking way in advance and they asked me for an additional $800 on top of my $263 deposit. Then "unfortunately we can only give you a partial refund as you have requested to cancel on the day of" when I asked for a full refund seeing as there was nothing on the website stating this policy they referred me to customer service stating unfortunately you li... read more
Don't book through 3rd party they won't treat you as there customer .booked and paid for baby seat only to get there and nothing has been arranged. 3 month old baby and no seat .bargin car rental saved the day
