Renting the car, picking it up, dropping it off was all smooth. It ran well and we had no surprise fees. But beware they either sell your data to companies or are part of text scams that demand money for red light camera tickets, highways tolls etc. I received my first message like exactly a week after renting a car from Budget, this is my third since then. One was from ‘Service Ontario’ and text message is not a way any of these companies ask for payment. Beware the post car rental scams.
I refuse to support Budget/Avis due to the overcharging I experienced. I know, I know: Sorry to hear you've had a negative experience. I’ve rented from here a few times now in the past few years and it’s always been a great experience. The pick up is usually pretty smooth, and the drop off is equally as fast and easy. The staff is great as well, I’ve been served by Aron most times and he’s always very welcoming and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
Misleading location. May be they are trying to get Billy bishop airport passengers. But it's not at the YTZ/ Island even if they write YTZ, it's simply at the basement level of bay street, near to union station. Worst customer experience there. I wish I could get the names and write here. Especially at the basement level where you get the rental car, those people are so rude no matter if you greet them with a hello please or thanks. Terrible experience – avoid this location at all costs. Honesetly deserves ZEROOOOOO STARS. NEVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. THE EMPLOYEES I SPOKE WITH WAS: TEDDY or some similar sounding name. I rented a car on July 4th and returned it the next day, July 5th (Saturday). Unfortunately, we accidentally left three items in the car: a sentimental hoodie given to my wife by her late grandmother, a neck pillow, and a 1L bottle of Grey Goose.
