Booked a 7 passenger SUV online. When I spoke with customer service and asked if I could pay with a debit card I was told "absolutely we will just need to put a hold on the card for the amount and deposit." No problem. Got an Uber to the location to pick up my SUV. When I arrive at the location I was told only cars can be paid with a debit card.
Plan a few hours waiting to get your car. Unbelievable line up, literally a couple hundred people all waiting and the staff say it's not unusual. It's longer to pick up your rental than it is to fly into the country.
SCAMMERS!!! I am a business professional who rents cars regularly. I rented a car for a period exceeding six weeks, following a car accident. Budget's advertised price was very affordable, which is why I chose them. The initial price quote was great, however the financial "grifting" behavior by this company proceeded from the outset. Financial wise, they have been atrocious.
