Extremely respectful crew and very helpful staff. Despite the freezing weather in Hoboken, a team member went up to the roof and brought our car down for us. Absolutely the best budget place so far.
This was the worst experience with car rental we’ve ever had. If we could give no stars we would. We had prepaid a car the week of Christmas. The two staff members claimed that our credit check was declined and that our only option was to call our bank. We did this and our bank said there was no credit issues, no lack of money in our accounts and no reason to be declined. They said they could see no activity from Budget on our acct. This car rental place is an absolute joke. Claims our credit check was declined “need to take this up with your bank.” I called the bank at the time and they said there was no activity whatsoever from budget. I believe because we got a great deal having prepaid the car the week before Christmas, they hoped to make money off of it at a premium if our reservation wasn’t honored. Budget-Hoboken is excellent— Jay & Ali offer the latest vehicles, clean and well-maintained. The customer service is always top-notch, and renting here makes it a real pleasure to get out of town for the weekend.
