We had pre-booked a 7 seater minivan via my credit card travel website. When we got there, they had no minivans and they asked us if we were okay with downgrading. We were happy to do so and obliged willingly. They thanked us and told us we will get a discount for the rental as it was now a lower grade car (only a 5 seater vs 7 seater) and they would throw in a prepaid tank of gas. They won’t wait for you if your flight gets delayed and you arrive after hours even if you have a reservation and called to let them know that you’d be arriving late.

When traveling to TVC over the past 15 years my experience with Avis/Budget has been 10 star every time. Outstanding staff at the counter and never an issue. Several times I have asked for a change in my reserved vehicle and they ALWAYS accommodate my request with several options to choose from. If I am on the late "after midnight" flight, they are there for me when I get to rental car counter. You can count on them to be there.
