Just like all the other 1 stat reviews, DO NOT RENT FROM TRAVERSE CITY BUDGET/AVIS!! Horrible customer service in-person, awful Customer Service on the phone. Just do yourself the favor of paying the extra $25 and rent from Enterprise. Car had the engine light on, and "SERVICE REQUIRED" message on the dash. Wouldn't give a SAFE vehicle. Ended up Ubering so we wouldn't risk being stranded on the side of the road.
Extremely poor customer service skills from front desk person. Wanted to me to sign the damage form for the vehicle without seeing the vehicle. Multiple scratchmarks were found on the vehicle during inspection and then noted on the form. She didnt seem to care one bit. Seemed more discomforted by the fact that I as a customer dared to interrupt her personal chat with her colleagues.
Absolutely worthless and unhelpful crew
This was my second bad experience with this budget at the cherry Capitol airport. Last time I rented from them my car smelled so strongly of Marijuana I had to exchange it. This time, I requested a compact car for good gas mileage. I waited for an hour to pick up my car, which I had already paid for and had a pickup time for, then I get a dodge hornet. We rarely risk renting with Budget because the waits can be super long and the service is less than stellar. The Budget Rental at TVC was very helpful and fast.
