I'm done with Budget and I've writen to Costco so they know how bad the experience with Budget. My last 2 rentals using the "fast lane" and Costco Travel have been miserable with Budget. This time they did not have the car I reserved (3 weeks earlier) the employee said, "ya we knew we didnt have one for you all day." I asked why he would not have one as I had reserved it... blank stare. I asked why he didnt have one sent over, blank stare. Very disappointed with this company. I made a reservation through their website about five days ago, and when I arrived today, they told me they didn’t have any cars available. The worst part is that I wasn’t the only one—there were several other customers dealing with the exact same issue. If they knew they couldn’t honor the reservations, they should have notified customers in advance. No one called or emailed me to cancel, which caused me to waste both time and money. Absolute nightmare. Had to jump through circus hoops n loops, to provide proof of residency because of an out of state ID (never had to do that at any car rental before, not sure what i would have done if my wife wasnt home to send photos of my mail to me), then they kept going out to "see if the car was rentable", like why would your car be in the lot with issues. Alquile un auto por una semana y todo bien,la atención al cliente muy buena aunque no hablan español pero nos ayudaron.
I think they should have their staff go through some training on how to communicate to customers. My entire experience felt like I was annoying them by wanting to be a customer. The car has been good so far, no issues with the vehicle, nice and clean!
