DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUDGET!! I rented a car in Jan and it was a nightmare experience. To start I made my reservation online and paid for a standard size SUV, when I arrived I was given a compact SUV and the man who gave it to me just said “it’s still an SUV”. The difference in price for the rental was about $200 that I had spent over the class of car I received. The car had 50,000 miles and was not new. This place is super sketchy and is inside of an old rundown hotel that’s now for public housing vouchers and drug rehab. Luckily I dropped my rental off during the daytime. There are usually people hanging out on the steps out front. I’d highly suggest dropping off any other budget location if you can.
Went from $97 dollars on the Uber app…to $170 when I picked up the car…to $277 for my final bill. Got charged some hourly rate I wasn’t aware of. Plus a $20 late fee because their office was closed at 11:15 AM on a Sunday when their hours say they are open till 1 PM. So they took it as me leaving the car at 7AM on Monday. LADIES DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION ALONE. This place is literally inside of a low income rehab center/homeless shelter. I had to drop off the vehicle after hours and it was not a safe situation. Dim lit entrance and parking lot with a bunch of sketchy people hanging around the inside and outside of entrance. It was really no different in the daytime outside of there being light.
